Crazy.........or awesome?
Jun. 27th, 2008 09:36 pmSo, I love musicals. If you've read this journal you probably know that. I also love Batman, which I'm sure I've stated here before as well. So when I found demo recordings for Batman: The Musical at Dark Knight of Soul you have to understand that I was completely intrigued. I mean, it could be SO BAD in so many ways, but when I listened to the demos, I'm actually kind of sad it's never been made. There's some really great songs there. Also it has Catwoman, which of course makes it tens times more awesome by default than it has any right to be. :D
So speaking of musicals, I have finally managed to get my paws on the Wicked soundtrack, which is made of awesome. "Popular" and "Defying Gravity" are standouts in particular. I would absolutely love to go see this show, but the closest one playing is in LA, which is a tad far away. Hmm...maybe this Christmas I can do Disneyland again and tack on Wicked? We'll see.
But anyway, I am also starting a new job in a week or two with Longs Drugs as a Pharmacy Intern. I had my drug test today, and am currently waiting for the paperwork to arrive so I can fill it all out.
This week was really tiring, and by the time I got to last night I was so bombed that I just sat down and watched The Empire Strikes Back, which was totally awesome. I haven't watched that movie in forever, and I'd forgotten just how much I love it. I'm still on some weird Star Wars kick, and just bought a neat Revenge of the Sith hardcover at the Used Book Store today (for super cheap of course, which is my super weakness). I've also been eyeing some lots of YA/kids Star Wars books on Ebay.
MUST NOT SPEND MONEY THAT I DON'T HAVE BEFORE I ACTUALLY START WORKING.
Too late - my Sarah Brightman tickets came this week! I dread that credit card bill.
