It appears I've come to an impasse.

I've been looking online for quite some time at the new Winx dolls made by Simba, and would really like to own some. Specifically, I'd like a full set of all 7 girls (though they can be made of of either the Believix or Rocker lines). However, I've always been eyeing a new Taeyang (either Andrew or Rayne specifically). Either route is going to be expensive, and with the holidays coming up I'm trying to be careful with money, but I'm worried that I'll either lose out on the good deals going at Pullip Style right now or lose out on the Simba Winx entirely.

Not to mention that nice little fall pack of the six-inch Disney Fairies.

Any thoughts?

The Winx are going to be a major endeavor. Even with getting decent deals on the Concert line, I think I paid over $200. And then you'd have to track down a Roxy, since she's not in that line. And the Believix are even more expensive than that! My goal is to finish my Believix set and then I'm not planning on any more Simbas (until they make new characters or come out with cool stuff from the movie or Season 5). Those two lines really are the best ones.

So the Winx are definitely going to be the most expensive option, but I think they're better than a Taeyang and Taeyangs will be around longer.

My suggestion would be to try out a Simba Winx. Just one. That way if you don't like her, you wouldn't have spent the money on a whole bunch. Or maybe do a Muscara order and get however many it takes to equal their free shipping minimum. You could grab one Believix, one Concert and even City Roxy.

The Roxy pics on the site are very tempting. I think I got a bum one. Both Gran Gala and I Love Dance look way cuter than my City one! Their City one doesn't look cute either, so maybe all the City ones are like that? Huh.

The Rockers and the Believix are really the only ones to attract my attention of all the Simba lines. Thinking about distribution, I wanted Believix for Layla, Tecna, and Roxy and Rocker for Bloom, Stella, and Flora. Musa could go either way.

That Muscara order is a really tempting idea! Too bad three of the Rockers together are less than $10 shy of the free shipping minimum.

And you're definitely right about the availability. I think there's a very small window of opportunity that the Simbas will even be on Ebay.

The Believix and Concert lines have pretty good availability. You just have to look at eBay France or Germany to find it. The French seller [personal profile] dreaming_faerie mentioned in the mod comm is still selling, but on eBay France only, I think.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do. Now that I've seen pretty and less pretty versions of Believix Roxy and Tecna, I'd like to see the exact doll I'm getting, but those auctions are usually non-US-shipping.

This one is lovely, but I'm loathe to ask a German to ship to me:

Whereas this one is less pretty:

Argh. I just want nice ones!

I bit the bullet and asked. Worst they can say is no. They have all the Believix, including the most beautiful Tecna I've seen yet! And only $34ish each!

Let me know what they say! That's such a better deal than the ridiculous $60+ I saw on Ebay France.
