Pullipspasm!

Yesterday was kind of awful (that actually seems to be the theme for this whole week), but when I got home, guess who was waiting for me?
Clarity and Brevity arrived!
The obligatory box pictures:

Taeyangs in their boxes crack me up. It's like he's squatting to use the toilet! Seriously Jun Planning, couldn't you have made a two inch taller box?
Clarity first:

Her eyes are this gorgeous golden color:

She's my first Pullip - the chic design really won me over when I saw her promo pics at Pullip Style. I know she's not to everyone's taste (it is an awful lot of gold), but I just adore her. I forgot to get a picture of her hair, which has a really nice style in the back.
Next is Brevity (stock Shade). He's Clarity's brother in the profiles that I'm writing up for them, so it seemed natural to get them together. :)
I love that he's inspired by Sherlock Holmes. The fact that he comes with a pipe and newspaper amuse me to no end. :)

His right eye droops slightly, but it's covered up by the hair so it doesn't really matter.

His stock outfit is just awe-inspiring. It's got so many layers! I don't have him wearing the trenchcoat or detective hat here though. The hat looks weird on him (it doesn't seem to fit quite right), so I tend to leave it off. Maybe I'll do a shoot later with him looking full on detective. ;)
The siblings together:

I love how expressive and poseable Pullips and Taeyangs are!
Jade was my first one, adopted from
garagesaleleann

He's Clarity's boyfriend:

And here's the trio together. I seriously love these three. I was on Cloud 9 yesterday after they were together. :)

I can't wait to take more pictures with them! There's something about these dolls that is so totally endearing to me. Maybe it's the giant heads? Or the awesome stock outfits? I'm not sure I'll ever take them out of those outfits.

I'm so in love with the vampires! Well, not the guy, but definitely the Pullip and maybe the Dal and Byul, too. I love the Tiger Lily Byul, too, but I'm worried the Disney ones are gonna cost a bajillion dollars. Although I have very few American Indian dolls, no dark-skinned Pullips at all and no Byuls, so she'd be something new to my collection.

WOW, thanks for the links! I agree, the Pullip Vampire is amazing, but I'm really excited about the Steampunk ones featured on the top of the second page too. I wonder when they'll be released?
And DISNEY. Peter Pan, no less!
One of my favorite Disney movies. But I agree - they'll probably be out of my price range. The collabs always tend to be more expensive. And that may be the first Byul I actually really like! Byul makes a great Tiger Lily. But the poor line is missing a Wendy!

Date: 2009-05-24 01:11 am (UTC)Oh yes, Clarity is definitely going to have her hands full - not that she'll mind! ;)
I was shocked when they arrived just how well Shade and Clarity go together. I remember seeing a discussion on Pullip Style awhile back about good matches for Shade and she really strikes me as a good one.
Of course, they're siblings to me though. XD
