I won Darcy last night, so now my Italian Trix collection will be complete! Unfortunately, someone was actually bidding against me for her, so that jacked the price up a little. D:
It's like, don't I know everyone in the US who would buy these Italians? :D

But after doin' the sums, I realized I've spent close to $500 on all my eleven Italians. Then I kind of freaked out a little; I don't think I've ever spent that much on something like this before.

I'm tempted to say "Ah well," and go merrily on with life, but my bank account is giving me the evil eye, so after much thought, I decided to institute March Moratorium. The idea is to not spend any more money on books/toys/etc. for the rest of the month and give my account time to recover and replenish.

I've never tried an experiment like this before. I'm assuming it's going to be painful. But it will give me a little time to perhaps put together a spending plan for collectible purchases that will apply to future months.

Planning is always a good thing to do! I know that since I purchased two dolls in a month for December, I am not going to buy any more dolls until I've saved up for them--and those purchases will be with my own money!

Seriously! Probably the only thing I'm really good at doing with money is spending it. (I'm wanting that Sky/Bloom royal set put out by Mattel, but they're just going to have to wait until April!)

Yeah, sometimes the spending can get a little nuts. I bought a lot of stuff I needed with my money, but I also splurged on a lot of dolls and books because I hadn't in so long. I have to reign it in now, big-time!

Yeah, I splurged a lot little because I did well on all my Midterms, but that definitely needs reigning in now too!

I think I'll just blame it all on eBay, as usual. :)

I did that with GI Joes a few months back. Went a little too out of hand, decided to stop buying them for awhile. It's been hell, but I'm not near as broke haha.

I've never felt so compelled to keep purchasing as I do right now, which means I definitely need to step back for a little bit. :)

Which doesn't mean I'll stop getting Winx (and some more MOTU figures), it just means that I'll be slowing down and pacing myself more.

Yeah that's exactly how it was with me. I was spending far too much on them, and just kind of realized my priorities. Over the last few months I've only bought a small handful of them (For a month or two, I didn't get any.) and I think it was kind of the right decision, just for economical reasons.

You should never quit your hobbies unless you absolutely have to!
