Ultra late request fulfillment is ultra late...but uh, better late than never?

4. Angsty Character - Z'neth or Dark Wing (Dragon Flyz)

Z’neth sat alone in his apartment, swirling the ice in his scotch before sighing and downing the rest of the glass. He knew it was stupid to be drinking - he hardly ever let his guard down like this, after all. But by the Great Dragon, he was upset with himself.

Today, his orders had led to the death of a fellow dragonator. Apex, Ilona, his Father, hell, even Joshua had tried to convince Z’neth it wasn’t his fault. Dread Wing was a terrible foe, and his troops had no problems killing dragonators when the whim struck. But it had been ages - not since Z’neth’s early days as a dragonator - that they’d lost one of their corps to a direct attack by the mutants. And certainly not one so young. Gods above, it could have been Peak.

Z’neth tried going out onto his balcony, hoping that the frigid air aboveclouds would clear his head. The wind stung his eyes, pricking the corners with tears.

No matter what the others said, it was his fault; he had been in command of the mission, had taken responsibility for his subordinates. It had been a standard drop and shop - they’d done it hundreds of times. But Fryte’s forces had materialized out of nowhere, and in the immediate chaos a pair of burly Dark Dramen had unseated the boy from his dragon and put a plasma shot through his chest.

Z’neth pounded the railing and yelled curses into the wind. It was so stupid! He should have known Dread’s troops would try a surprise attack, should have known the boy wasn’t ready for such a responsibility, should have had the sense to regain control of the situation.

Tears streamed down Z’neth face now. He should have known.


15. Obedient Character - Lady (Winx Club)

Edit: I’m not really sure how to write a dog character, so this is going to shift a bit toward Sky. XD

Sky absentmindedly stroked Lady’s soft, downy head as she laid it across his leg. She whined, and Sky knew it was because he should have taken her outside to potty almost an hour ago. Still, she was a good girl and never made a mess on the dormitory carpet.

“Dude, Sky, just let me take Lady out for you,” Brandon said as he surveyed the pathetic scene. Sky was curled up under a blanket on the dormitory couch running a high fever and suffering from a bad case of Dragon Pox.

“She only goes...for me,” Sky wheezed.

Brandon rolled his eyes. “Fine, then I guess I have to carry you,” he said, rolling Sky up like a burrito in his blanket and picking up the ill prince. Lady came to animated life as Brandon carried Sky out of Red Fountain onto the grounds. Brandon finally set his prince down on a bench outside as Lady finally relieved herself and began sniffing all over the training ground.

“You totally owe me lunch when you get better - and I better not get your Dragon Pox!” Brandon said.

Lady pounced back over to them and curled up underneath the bench.

Sky gave Brandon a halfheartedly wicked grin. “I thought you were supposed to be my obedient squire?” he added with a wink.
