Happy Birthday?
Nov. 3rd, 2006 08:05 pmWell, thank goodness all that's over.
I have just come at the end of a very hellish two weeks (with a birthday thrown in the middle just to make it that depressing). In the span of these last two weeks, I've had a major test in every class, ON TOP OF finishing up my Pharmacy School Application and going in to do the writing sample. Right now, I'm just trying to breathe and mentally catch up with everything.
So, my 21st birthday, being the only time that I could study for a Microbiology test, was kind of shoved aside. T_T Well, as a non-alcoholic, it didn't really mean that much to me as a "big birthday" but it's still a little depressing. However, I did get to go to Wine and Roses for brunch that morning...and was it fabulous! Baked brie and caramelized pears, chicken crepes, biscuits and maple butter, crepes...well...you get the idea. Add fantastic orange juice (it tasted fresh squeezed!), great coffee, and live soft piano music and you have a recipe for a fantastic morning (followed by a hand-cramping afternoon full of note-taking and studying...XD). So, tomorrow night we're all getting together and really celebrating, just the six of us. It promises to be filled with laughter as I am surrounded by some of the people I care about most. ^__^
Well, I'm excited for the new Eragon movie! I just finished the book in anticipation of its December 15 release, and I can't wait! It promises to be a great swords-and-sorcery tale that shouldn't be missed! (Yes, I realize I'm such a sucker for this type of movie, but I just can't help myself!)
I'm watching a great new French series - Skyland - and so far I'm really impressed. It grabbed me in the first 15 minutes! Oh no! Does Winx Club finally have some competition? We'll find out soon enough! XD
Heroes this week was awesome, as usual. We finally got to see Nikki's alter ego kick some serious butt, and then her scary husband transmuted his hand through her! Then bam! A cliffhanger! She better not die! Her story is really interesting - I desperately want to know more about her alter ego!
It hasn't happened for awhile, but I'm feeling really creative lately. I really want to write a story or do some drawings. Just to feel creative again, y'know? Well...I'm playing with a paint-by-number...but that's not really creative so much as slightly monotonous...XD
Anyway, I'm pretty zoned out, so I'll leave you at this. Have a great week everyone, and read some good books! ^___^
