polychrome_pen | Ugh. So dead.

Today at work was epic fail. I was at Longs from 9 am to 7 pm. NINE FREAKING HOURS. I really am so dead. My feet feel like ground meat.

This all happened because two people didn't show up today. Because of my overactive conscience I couldn't just leave the Pharmacist with one other helper until eight o'clock, so I volunteered to stay. And not only did I extend my shift, but two other people had to as well so the day would be covered! Suffice to say none of us were amused. Haha, and my Pharmacist told me that the day after Christmas would be a nice quiet day, too! WRONG. It was super busy and filled with tons of weird insurance problems and terrible (worse than usual!) handwriting on the part of the docs.

Plus, this came off of tons of driving yesterday on Christmas Day, so I was tired just going into work. San Francisco on Sunday had better be worth this trouble of switching days!

And going back farther, Christmas Eve was kind of weird too. My Aunt got stomach flu, so she and my Uncle stayed home, and we ended up just having my cousin (their son) and his family over for dinner and a few presents. It was a little odd - and when my cousin's kids are involved, it is also very tiring. I feel like I've come off of a three-day long roller coaster.

Plus there was too much food and self-control flew out the window. I've felt a bit sick; almost want to go on a really strict diet here and now.

But presents and seeing family I love did brighten the holidays! A selection of favorites:
- Star Trek Voyager Season 7 (I own them all now)
- Pharmacy Sweatshirt and Woolly jacket (I love them both)
- Sleeping Beauty DVD
- eBay giftcard (fueling my addiction)
- Seeing Grandma. :D

Anyway, I'm super bushed, so I think I'll just crawl into bed and sleep for a week kthxbye. :D
