If you don't have display space, that's a fine reason, but I hate the "they're worth more in the box" line of thought. With dolls like the Italian Winx that are relatively unknown and therefore unpopular, it's more a matter of demand. If no one wants the doll, it's not going to matter if she's in a box or not. So if you want to really enjoy them, debox them when you have the display space. There's honestly no monetary sense in keeping them confined to plastic and cardboard prisons. I know I'd pay the same amount for the three eveningwear girls I want, whether boxed or deboxed. As long as they were complete and in good shape.
