Winx Collection

Hmm...it's been awhile since I've put down anything in here...XD Bad me...always doing homework when I really feel like doing more creative things!

In Winx News --> My DVDs came! I am now the proud owner of DVDs 1, 3, and 5 of the first season of Winx Club (though I have yet to watch them). Why only the odd numbers, you ask? Well, since I bought from Amazon (and I love to compare prices), and found that I could get number 2 and 4 cheaper from Deep Discount DVD, I decided to wait and order them from there.

Also, when I noticed in the newspaper ads that K-Mart was having a 15% off sale on all Winx items, I overcame my innate fear of that store and braved it to find three Magical Minis! Yes, I am now the proud owner of Stella, Tecna, and Bloom Magical Minis. Now if only I could find Flora and Musa...XD

One final Winx item that I recently added to my small collection is the Gameboy Advance game. I'm not real big on adventure games, but it's actually pretty fun. (Although VERY "girly" - eg Heart Selectors and a copious amount of pink in the menu.) I was really shocked that they managed to squeeze not only the opening song (with pretty good sound!), but also small other clips throughout the game! It's pretty impressive for the GBA! ^_^ Also, while I picked it up, I canceled my order for Wild Arms: Alter Code F (having actually found it on the cheap at another store) and applied the money that I had already put toward it to Quest for the Codex DS! So all in all, November is shaping up to be a busy gaming month!

In TV thoughts, "The Class" is getting better and better every week. It has such a good blend of comedy and drama with serial touches that keep the viewer coming back. The characters have really grown on me...even ones that I didn't really like that much at first. Their chemistry grows by leaps and bounds every week, and you can tell that the actors are getting comfortable in their roles. I have high hopes for this show! ^___^

Lately, I've been tossing around ideas for a Winx fanfic set between Seasons 1 and 2, mainly involving Flora, Mirta, and Brandon. Yes...I realize those three make a strange combination...@_@ But they're probably my favorite characters (though truthfully I love almost all the characters from that show!) I wanted to try and explore Flora's back story/interest in aeromagic stuff/family/etc. Hopefully I'll be able to work on it some during my Thanksgiving Break (not to mention hopefully finish up FFX...>_<)
