Winx Obsession

Wow, it's been such a long time since I've been into a recent cartoon. However, all of that's changed. On a whim, I used my DVD recorder to tape the season opening of Winx Club last Saturday morning. I watched it later that night...and surprisingly really enjoyed it! Stella is obviously like Gwen from PGJR (I mean, come on: blonde hair, fave color=pink, princess, sun-based powers?), but on the whole it's very original and fun! It's interesting, however, that it shares many similarities with not only PGJR, but also Tenko and Sky Dancers (magical school setting). But I hate to watch things out of order, so I downloaded the first season and have been devouring my way through that.
I find it very interesting that it's actually a foreign show, though. It's kind of sad that American animators don't really work on those kind of "magical" shows these days. But at least somebody had the guts to make another "magical girl" show - and they've made it rather well! ^_^
Oh, and if anyone knows where I can get Season 2, don't hesitate to let me know! ^_^
