Ugh. Sniped at the last minute on Ebay yet again! I really wanted that Prince Adam figure too!

I don't know if it's because I'm trying to avoid studying for midterms, but I have been addicted to Ebay for the last several days. I'm spending FAR too much time there (though thankfully not money).

Current obsessions: Winx Italians, Dinotopia chapter books (I got sniped on a nice lot of those too!), He-Man 2002 figures (so expensive!), and Circle of Magic chapter books.

I don't know why, but lately I've been really loving chapter books. I think it's because they're not only fun, but eminently collectible as well. They bring out my "hunt and collect" instinct. XD

And I'm really loving the 2002 line of Masters of the Universe figures. This is what I get for watching the damn show - the need to now collect something else. I'm needing me some Prince Adam and Teela (Oh OTPs, how you rule my life). And the Sorceress, because her design is 200% awesome. But they go for surprising amounts of money!

Anyway, one Midterm down, two to go. Thankfully we have Thursday off as a study day!

Sadly, the Sorceress was just a statue in the 2k2 line. But Prince Adam and Teela I was lucky and got in stores way back when. I haven't tried looking on eBay for 2k2 toys, I dont want to know how much they are going for.. So many I still need.

Yeah, I know she was a statue. But the fact that she exists in some form at all is a wonderful thing. :)

So lucky! I sadly wasn't interested in He-Man when this show was new in 2002 (though if I'd had cable, I definitely would have watched it!), so I didn't get any of the toys.

Let's just say that with shipping an Evil-Lyn I was watching went for over $30.

Good lord! Evil Lyn is one of the ones I wanted. I even hunted for her when she was released. I never got the Sorceress Staction figure, but I always wanted her. Her 2k2 design is so great

eBay owns...well, not my entire soul, but fraction of it. I love hunting for random things I've never heard of before. Like I'll search 198* in the dolls category and look for doll lines I missed out on. I ran across this the other day and had to buy it:

Baby Prince Brandon! Tee hee. She's got a comb in the same shape as the Rose Petal dolls and she's a pretty doll, so yeah, I had to. (There's one on eBay for an insane amount of money. Then this one is totally reasonable at eight bucks.)

I was lucky enough to get the MotU stuff in stores. I've got Skeletor, Teela, Orko, Merman and EvilLyn. And the EvilLyn and Sorceress statues. I'll look for Sorceress for you at Forbidden Planet, too. I haven't forgotten. I just haven't gotten there.

Oooohh, Winx Italians. Any good new ones out?

I'm mostly looking for older stuff. Since I got a Brandon, Stella, Sky, Bloom, and Flora, I'm after Tecna, Musa, and Layla now. I'm kind of anal about wanting full sets like that. XD

But they have to be the older, taller dolls. And in their Winx outfits.

But I think the newest Italian line right now is the "Winx on Ice" line. :)

I think I really love eBay because of the really unique things you can find. Like animation cells or prototype toys.

I know, right? Granted, she was boxed and all, but I still think that's steep for a six inch figure!

Although I hear that the 2k2 line was hampered by too many He-Man and Skeletor variants and not enough of the other characters, so maybe they're kind of rare?

Yeah pretty much the entire last wave is scarce. I don't know if you frequent He-man.org or not (You see, He-Man, GI Joe and Star Wars Winx are like my major obsessions.) But The term "Spin Blade" is like a curse word there.

The Spin/Smash blade variants were still on the shelves a year after the line was canceled, that's how clogged the shelves were.

well, we don't know anything about Brandon's family
and apparently he knew enough royal stuff to pass off as Sky for how long before Bloom blew his cover?

Hmm...I actually like Brandon as a normal person. It makes for a good dynamic between him and Stella.
Also, in the RP Sky and Riven (and Varan and Joshua) are already princes.
But damn if it wouldn't be fun. XD

And I always assumed his cover wasn't blown because in Magix, royalty doesn't necessarily act "like royalty." Except maybe Stella. :D
